The
Slidell Cultural Center, 444 Erlanger Street,
is the city's own premier art gallery focusing its
exhibits in fine arts, history and science. The
Center features local and regional artists and showcases
national and international traveling collections.
The
Center displays 6 - 7 exhibitions annually and serves
as a second classroom to St. Tammany Parish elementary
and high school teachers who continually bring their
classes to view and discuss the latest exhibit.
In addition to school tours, the Slidell Cultural
Center also hosts group tours for community groups,
boy and girl scouts, and church groups for each
exhibit.
During
exhibits, the gallery is open:
Monday-Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Admission is free.
A meeting room is available for non-profit organization
use.
