City of Slidell - Public Operations
The office of Public Operations consist of three departments: Public Works, Public Utilities and Wastewater Treatment.

The Department of Public Works is responsible for all public works projects within the City of Slidell. In order to accomplish this mission, the department has control over these divisions Streets, Bridges and Drainage, Electrical, Vehicle Maintenance, and Sign Shop.

The Department of Public Utilities is responsible for all public utility projects within the City of Slidell. This Department is responsible for maintaining and operating a potable water system and collecting of Wastewater for 30,000 residents. In order to accomplish this mission, the Department has control over three divisions: Wastewater Collection, Water, and Meter.

The Department of Wastewater Treatment is responsible for maintaining and operating the Terrace Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Basin 500 Equalization Tank.
