About:
The Slidell Police Reserve Division is a volunteer, uniformed law enforcement organization open to all persons age 19 or older, on an equal opportunity basis. Reserve offices are fully commissioned police officers trained to the same standards as full-time, paid officers. Reserve officers are assigned to provide police services at festivals, parades, high school football games, footraces, and other city-sponsored events. More importantly, Reserve Officers respond to calls for police services and patrol activities with the same level of authority and professionalism as regular, paid officers. The Slidell Police Department takes great pride in the civic spirit and willingness to serve displayed by its Reserve Officers.
