Community invited to Celebrate Slidell at special Bayou Jam event
The community is invited to join the celebration when the National League of Cities presents the Gold Award for Municipal Excellence to the community for its cultural programming. The award presentation will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a Bayou Jam Concert featuring The Topcats at 5:30 p.m.

Get those fingers snappin’ and those toes tappin’ when Swingaroux performs at the City of Slidell’s special Arts Evening edition of the Bayou Jam concert series on Sunday, November 8, in Heritage Park. The concert begins at 5:30 and admission is free.

The City of Slidell’s Bayou Jam concert series kicks off the fall 2009 season with a performance by On the Beach on Sunday, September 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Slidell’s Heritage Park. Admission is free.

Push Play to headline Bayou Jam Teen Jam Concert
The delighted shrieks you hear coming from Heritage Park on Sunday, August 16, won’t be those of kids frolicking in the park’s new splash pad. They’ll be the joyful cries of teenagers celebrating the arrival of Push Play, a New York band making Slidell a stop along its nationwide tour as the band promotes its new cd, “Found.” The concert begins with opening band Benison at 3 p.m., followed by the Push Play performance at 4 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.
