The City Court of Slidell is a court of limited jurisdiction.

The Court has jurisdiction in the 8th and 9th wards of St. Tammany Parish.

The Court handles adult misdemeanors and traffic offenses, both from state statutes and city ordinances, and civil suits up to $35,000 and small claims up to $5,000. In addition, the Court handles adoptions, child-in-need of care cases, and delinquency cases from shoplifting to murder.
