Blue Dog exhibit premiers at Slidell Cultural Center
The opening week of the much anticipated “Blue Dog Days of Summer: George Rodrigue from the New Orleans Museum of Art” has finally arrived. The opening reception will be held Friday, June 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Slidell Cultural Center on the first floor of City Hall. Admission is free.
The exhibit features original paintings of the loveable blue icon by George Rodrigue, on loan from the New Orleans Museum of Art. The Blue Dog Days of Summer: George Rodrigue from the New Orleans Museum of Art will be on display through August 7. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, noon to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. The gallery will also be open on Sunday, July 4, in conjunction with Slidell Heritage Fest, from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
