The center turning lane on Third Street – from Guzman Street to Brakefield Street – will be closed to through traffic beginning on Monday, June 11, for sewer line replacement. Through traffic in both directions will be maintained during this period, but delays are expected due to construction. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, construction is projected to be completed by Monday, June 25, 2012.
“I know this will be an inconvenience to our citizens,” said Slidell Mayor Freddy Drennan. “I would appreciate everyone’s cooperation in exercising caution while travelling on Third Street and recommend using an alternate route to avoid the construction area.”
