Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Seventh Street will be closed to all traffic on Monday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the road is prepped for paving. Crews will pave the road on Wednesday, May 30. While the street will not be closed to traffic on the 30th, it is highly recommended that motorists use an alternate route.
“Seventh Street has been closed for several months, and I know it has been an inconvenience to many of our citizens, but the much needed renovations are nearing completion,” said Slidell Mayor Freddy Drennan. “I would appreciate everyone’s cooperation in exercising caution when travelling in these areas and strongly advise that people use a different route.”
