Kelly Landrum-Hammell is a potter living in Carriere, Mississippi with her husband Billy and their three dogs. Her works consist of horse hair fired pottery, raku, and functional stoneware. After eleven years of working in New York City as an agent for models, Kelly looked to pottery as a creative outlet. It was love at first touch, clay immediately and permanently captured her interest. Kelly studied for four years under Andie Blaschke at Wontendyke Studio in Wycoff New Jersey. In 2002, Kelly decided to return to her southern roots and work exclusively with clay. Kelly’s work is influenced by the natural world, animals, the ocean and her environment.
