Joyce Haun - Showing at Parish National Bank
Joyce began her love of photography in the early 1990’s when she rose before sunrise one morning, dug out an old manual camera, and captured the beauty of her gardens near the Honey Island Swamp. He daughter, Joelle, had just graduated from college and moved to Florida, and Joyce wanted to give her a gift that would remind her of the beautiful bayous and live oaks in Louisiana while she was away. One of these early photographs was entered in a contest where she placed second, and was hooked. Joyce has continued her love of nature and landscape photography, but as friends and relatives began asking her to photograph their children and grandchildren in her garden “studio”, she and her daughter founded Capture the Giggles, LLC. Her love of photography and her experience grew, and she has often been featured commercially in regional sale promotions.
